Project Overview
An assisted-living complex was experiencing moisture moving through the concrete foundation and into walls, floors and interior finishes.
The Waterproofing Challenge
Water in the surrounding soil was reaching the foundation. A durable solution required access below grade and a way to redirect moisture around the building.
Work Completed
- Excavated along affected building areas.
- Created a wide trench to expose and manage foundation conditions.
- Installed a protective wall and waterproof barrier.
- Added drainage to bypass water around the structure.
- Backfilled after inspecting the completed assembly.
Project Outcome
The completed system redirects subsurface moisture and reduces direct water contact with the foundation.
